WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

SHADOW WORK

  • Gain a nuanced understanding of shadow, rooted in psychology and philosophy.

  • Identify and map your own shadow using existing and exclusive tools.

  • Take action in integrating your shadow, resolve conflict & develop congruency.

The shadow is the unconscious realm of the psyche that comprises all that we repress, deny or hide from others. It necessarily forms as a result of our adaptation to the world, stepping into ourselves and becoming an individual.

But the shadow itself is also dual. Just as it contains shortfalls and tensions we’d rather avoid, it contains vital gifts & qualities. Jung described becoming conscious of the shadow as "the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge."

In this third course of the MiC Know Yourself Programme, you will develop a nuanced understanding of shadow, calling on psychological and philosophical wisdom from the western tradition. Identify your own shadow, do the alchemical work, developing greater congruency & self-awareness.
